Regular Season Round 23: Mechelen - ZZ Leiden 68-78

There was a minor upset in Mechelen where 6th ranked Belgian Kangoeroes (14-9) were defeated by eighth ranked Dutch ZZ Leiden (14-9) 78-68 on Friday. It was a great evening for American guard Tyreek Scott-Grayson (196-1998, college: ODU) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. His fellow American import forward Nate Roberts (211-2000, college: Washington) helped adding 7 points and 11 rebounds. Swedish forward Zaba Bangala (201-2001) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Joshua Heath (186-1994, college: Georgia Tech) scored 13 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ZZ Leiden moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Mechelen. ZZ Leiden will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mechelen will play again against ZZ Leiden (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
